Over May 13-15, 2022 OKC Sandlot 12U Blue battled in beautiful Northwest Arkansas at the Arkansas East/West Shootout.  The crew took victory in game 1, shifting them to game 2 that finished with a picture perfect ending for the crew by a walk-off home run by Mayhew.  Going into brackets, the guys took the wins by earning 15 runs and allowing 7 in the two first games.  Their hard work earned them a place in the ‘ship and it was a battle of the pitchers.  On the mound, Swanson earned 11 strikeouts, however the boys fell short with a 0-1 ending.  A battle for sure, but an overall successful weekend for the 12U Blue guys.. NWA is a place where players and teams are made!
